About Donna M. Dubé

I collect collections. I have collections of postcards, shot glasses, ceramic cat figurines, all things Gone With the Wind, unusual stuffed animals, tarot cards, old books and photographs, WWII memorabilia (specifically photos and newspapers,)foreign paper money and coins, and probably a bunch of things I have forgotten to list.

I like to crochet, make jewelry, do embroidery, sew, cook, read mystery novels and biographies, and watch TV. I'm addicted to crime dramas.  I am owned by two cats, Lily Monster and the evil one, Keisha.
I live with my partner, Gunther, for more than twelve years now.

I have dreams of being an archaeologist, but realistically, I want to work in a museum with American Indian collections and repatriation. I think that American Indians and museums can learn to work together when it comes to cultural objects so that in the end everyone will benefit.

I have degrees in Computer Science(AS), Management(BS), Anthropology(BA) and a Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies.  And I am also interested in historic textiles. Maybe one of these days I'll go back to school for my Master's in textile conservation.

During the summer of 2005, I volunteered in the archaeology department at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center in Connecticut. I was out in the field working on sites on the reservation.

I am a member of the following organizations:
The Archaeological Conservancy
The National Trust for Historic Preservation
The National Museum of the American Indian(Charter member)
The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center (Charter member)
The ASPCA
The Northern Lights Costumers Guild
